Slow Motion and Fast(er) Motion

Yesterday, I just couldn’t stop watching this video of Marina Kanno and Giacomo Bevilaqua from Staatsballett Berlin perform several jumps captured in slow motion at 1000 frames per second (via Swiss Miss):

Spectacular. Isn’t it just breathtaking? The skill, strength, THOSE LEG MUSCLES, and poise displayed… yowza. I’m impressed. I’m also a sucker for Radiohead.

In related news, the runners out there will appreciate that I ran my very first long run with NEGATIVE SPLITS. Negative splitting is basically running the second half of your run faster than the first half. It helps you run your best race, PR, and all that jazz.

Not quite as badass as those ballet dancers, but a close second, for sure.
