President Obama’s March Madness Picks

H/t to The White House Blog for a look at President Obama’s March Madness picks:

The President released his 2009 NCAA College Basketball Tournament bracket today. President Obama played it safe for the most part, picking Louisville (1 seed), Memphis (2), Pittsburgh (1), and North Carolina (1) as his Final Four to meet in Detroit. After some deliberation, the First Hoops Fan is calling the Tar Heels as this year’s national champs.

Check it out:

Be sure to check out a high-res version of the bracket so you can see how he deliberated.

Is our President cool, or what? I mean, I know that Bush did this too, only no one cared. President Obama actually plays basketball, his brother-in-law is a college-hoops coach. He’s got the cred.

I wonder what LM and LL think of POTUS choosing UNC has the champs?

  1. I think that it shows even perfect people have flaws.

Also, we must have ESPN because I have this same post written and ready to go up tomorrow in honor of round 1.
